You paste a link, tap Download, and nothing happens, or an error appears. In the vast majority of cases, the cause is on this list.
1. The video is not public
This is the first cause. Private videos, videos from private groups, protected accounts or follower-only posts are not available. Quick test: open the link in a private window. If the video does not play while logged out, it cannot be downloaded.
2. The link is incomplete or wrong
Use the link of the post itself (Share button, then "Copy link"), not a profile, group or search page link. Do not copy only part of the address.
3. The video was deleted
If the author removed the post, the link leads nowhere. Open it in your browser to check.
4. The platform limits automated access
Some platforms, such as Instagram, sometimes filter automated requests. Wait a few minutes and try again. A fresh link copied from the app often works better than an old one.
5. The service is busy or the file is too large
At peak times the service may ask you to wait a moment. Files larger than 500 MB are not supported.
