Pinterest is full of video Pins: recipes, tutorials, decor ideas, workouts. But the app has no button to save another account's video to your phone. The link of the Pin is enough to do it, with nothing to install.
Step 1: copy the Pin link
- In the Pinterest app: open the video Pin, tap the three dots, then Copy link.
- On a computer: copy the Pin address from the browser bar (pinterest.com/pin/...).
Short pin.it/... links work too: that is what Pinterest gives you when you tap Share.
Step 2: paste it in the downloader
Open the Pinterest video downloader, paste the link, pick Video MP4 (or Audio MP3 if you only want the sound) and tap Download. There is nothing to install, and you never enter your Pinterest password.
Step 3: find the file
- iPhone: open the Files app, Downloads folder. To get it in Photos, open the video, tap Share, then Save Video.
- Android: Files or My Files app, Downloads folder.
- Computer: your browser's Downloads folder.
What does not work
- Pins that are only images: there is no video to save.
- Private content or secret boards: the tool can only read what is public.
- Links copied from a page other than the Pin itself (a search, a board): open the Pin first.
Respect creators' rights: use videos for personal use, and ask the author before reposting them elsewhere.
